6.5 INCH REAL MEGALODON SHARK TOOTH FOSSIL GIANT GENUINE BIG MEG. This is a real, authentic fossilized Megalodon shark tooth personally recovered by my husband or me from the bottom of the ocean while diving approximately 40 miles off the coast of southeastern North Carolina. The tooth is estimated to be between 5 and 24 million years old (Miocene era). The type of rock or sediment that the tooth fossilized in determines its color. It measures 6.50 inches on one side and 6.10 inches on the other (tip to root). The width at the widest part of the root is 4.15 inches and the tooth weighs 1 lb 2.6 ounces.

A nice, long and symmetrical specimen! This tooth also has some pathological deformities, namely the wavy pattern along the edges close to the root. This makes it a rare and unique and increases the value.
