Tooth Pendant - Megalodon Tooth, with Sterling Silver Cap. Miocene - 1.5 to 28 million years ago. This fine-quality fossil shark's tooth measures 1 3/4 inches in length (44.45 mm) along the diagonal edge. The serrations are quite visible and well defined; the well-preserved enamel is a medium bluish.

The preserved root is partially capped with a custom shark's. An outstanding fossil pendant overall. The teeth of the giant ancient shark, Megalodon, are among the most prized specimens for the prehistoric fossil collector. They are similar to those of today's Great White, but considerably larger. They were the largest carnivorous fish ever to have swum the oceans of our planet reaching lengths of up to 70 feet.

They lived 1.5 to 28 million years ago.
