Fossil Megalodon Shark Tooth 4 5/8 inches, found in North Carolina Lee Creek, about 5-25 million years old. This is a beautiful Otodus megalodon fossilized shark tooth. This fossil tooth was found in Lee Creek North Carolina. This tooth is original and has not been restored or repaired.

This one still has serrations on the blade. The shark species that produced this tooth lived about 5 - 25 million years ago (MYA). Sharks produce thousands of teeth during their lifetime.

Many of these become fossilized due to the weight of the ocean and sediment where they are deposited. It takes up to 2 million years for complete fossilization.
