This outstanding 1.66 inch Megalodon tooth has well-preserved serrations and complete enamel coverage of an attractive medium greyish tan color. The custom designed 24 Karat gold plated cap with bale, is accented with an Australian opal of blueish green base with multi-colored pin-fire. The teeth of the giant ancient shark, Megalodon, are among the most prized specimens for the prehistoric fossil collector.

They are similar to those of today's Great White, but considerably larger. They were the largest carnivorous fish ever to have swum the oceans of our planet reaching lengths of up to 70 feet. They lived between 1.5 to 28 million years ago.
