As a special addition, this fossil comes with a complimentary stand featuring a walnut hardwood base, crafted in our very own shop. Once you receive it, you'll have the perfect opportunity to proudly display your newfound treasure. No Repairs and No Restorations! The Megalodon shark (Otodus megalodon) is an extinct shark species that inhabited the Earth approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago. It held a remarkable status as one of the largest and most formidable predators in the planet's history, boasting an estimated length of up to 60 feet (18 meters) and a weight exceeding 50 tons.

Notably, its teeth were of exceptional size, reaching lengths of up to 7 inches (18 centimeters). Although the Megalodon shark inhabited oceans worldwide, the majority of fossil findings have been concentrated in North America. This region, particularly the southeastern United States, including Florida and North Carolina, has yielded significant discoveries.

Nevertheless, Megalodon teeth have been unearthed in numerous locations across the globe, spanning North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia. The most plausible cause of the Megalodon shark's extinction is attributed to a decline in available prey and intensified competition with other marine mammals. _gsrx_vers_1516 GS 9.3 (1516).

Love it or return it. It is as easy as that. Unlike rare coins, gems, and even baseball cards, there is no such thing as an independent 3rd party that grades and certifies fossils... Hence there is no such thing as legit COA's with fossils.

Anybody offering you a COA with any fossil is simply printing one off of their home computer simply because they think you don't know any better and this will gain your trust. The value is in the fossil itself. Nobody cares who found it... And for this reason we choose not to insult you by sending out worthless pieces of paper to gain your trust. We choose to use our reputation instead. We do NOT sell fakes, replicas, or plastic molds of any kind. We are in the fossil business... Not the children's toy business. Although we can not give out our website name here, we can supply our business name: Investment Fossils. We do not sell anything on our website anymore but there is some good blogs for you to read if you are new to collecting that might just help you get started. They are free to read and there is no sign up page that you need to fill out to get this information.
