This very impressive fossil shark's tooth displays a rich, dark gray enamel coating and excellent serrations along both edges. The teeth of the giant ancient shark, Megalodon, are among the most prized specimens for the prehistoric fossil collector. They are similar to those of today's Great White, but considerably larger. They were the largest carnivorous fish ever to have swum the oceans of our planet reaching lengths of up to 70 feet.
