Great White Shark's Teeth. MEGALODON SHARK TOOTH - XL 5 & 3/8 in. REAL FOSSIL - w/ FREE DISPLAY STAND! The Megalodon tooth is in its original, unaltered condition, without any repairs or restorations. It was discovered approximately 40 miles off the coast of Wilmington, NC, at a depth of 120 feet.

This specimen remains fully intact and includes a complimentary display stand, allowing you to proudly showcase your new fossil as soon as you receive it. The Megalodon shark (Otodus megalodon) is an extinct shark species that inhabited the Earth approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago. It held a remarkable status as one of the largest and most formidable predators in the planet's history, boasting an estimated length of up to 60 feet (18 meters) and a weight exceeding 50 tons. Notably, its teeth were of exceptional size, reaching lengths of up to 7 inches (18 centimeters).

Although the Megalodon shark inhabited oceans worldwide, the majority of fossil findings have been concentrated in North America. This region, particularly the southeastern United States, including Florida and North Carolina, has yielded significant discoveries. Nevertheless, Megalodon teeth have been unearthed in numerous locations across the globe, spanning North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia. The most plausible cause of the Megalodon shark's extinction is attributed to a decline in available prey and intensified competition with other marine mammals. No Repairs and No Restorations!
