This listing is for a large Otodus Sokolovi fossil shark tooth recovered from the Eocene Phosphate Deposits near the northern border of Western Sahara, Morocco. As you may know, the Sokolovi pre-dated and eventually evolved into the Megalodon. This tooth measures 3.36 inches (longest slant). It has minor professional restoration to the area where one of the cusps meets the root (see last 2 pictures for a close-up of the area); I also suspect there may be minor restoration to the very tip.The quality of the resto is excellent, such that you probably wouldn't notice it unless you were a very experienced collector. Sokolovi teeth this attractive/large are very tough to come by!
Pictures are taken in natural outdoor lighting with no editing/filters. The item "OTODUS SOKOLOVI 3.36 West African Fossil Shark Tooth!
